Some of the most exquisite, rare and expensive teas in the world, Ceylon Silver Tips are made from the handpicked fresh tea buds of the tea trees grown in the tea growing regions in high altitudes ranging from 2200m to 2500m. Ceylon Silver Tips tea varieties from Browns Plantations are made of leaves that are small and unopened, known as the imperial pluck. They are silver mixed white in colour, with subtle hairs and produce a very light brew with low amounts of caffeine, a sweet honey-like flavour and a golden white colour.
Hand-rolled after a perfect sun dry, the Silver Tips production process is longer due to the time allocated for oxidation yet produces a tea that is gentle on the palate, the body and the mind.
A very rare exotic variety of Ceylon White Tea and one of the most expensive tea varieties in the world, Ceylon Golden Tips is made from the sun-dried tea buds handpicked from a rare clone of the Camellia sinensis plant that is grown at a highest altitude in Sri Lanka. Known as the champagne of the tea world, Ceylon Gold Tips brew is golden in colour with a subtle honey flavour and is rich in antioxidants.
Pleasing when brewed,, Ceylon Oolong Tea combines the best characteristics of black and green tea. More delicate and lighter than black tea and more subtle and fragrant than green tea, Ceylon Oolong Tea has a dark reddish colour to it.
During its production Camellia sinensis leaves are oxidised under direct sunlight and semi-fermented, reducing the caffeine quantity in the brew and increasing the amino acid level that induces relaxation.
